CloudPaws: An Ecosystem Identity Program for Early Participants of Filecoin Onchain Cloud
As Filecoin Onchain Cloud (FOC) continues its global rollout, the Filecoin network is entering a new era expanding from a decentralized storage system into a comprehensive decentralized cloud infrastructure that integrates storage, retrieval, payments, and other programmable services.
Built on modules such as Warm Storage, Verifiable Retrieval, and Programmable Payments, FOC is shaping a cloud architecture designed for long-running, real-world applications (see the official Filecoin Onchain Cloud page for details).
In this early phase, a key goal is ensuring that the developers, storage providers (SPs), and ecosystem contributors who are laying the groundwork for Onchain Cloud can be effectively recognized.
CloudPaws is a community driven initiative created to address this opportunity.
What Is CloudPaws?
CloudPaws is a limited collection of 100 ecosystem identity NFTs within the Filecoin Onchain Cloud (FOC) ecosystem, designed to identify and connect early participants of Onchain Cloud.

CloudPaws is not a collectible, nor is it designed for trading or financial speculation. Instead, it serves as:
- A verifiable on-chain ecosystem identity
- An on-chain record of early participation
- An entry point for ecosystem collaboration and future activities
CloudPaws is open to the following participants:
- Developers (Builders) using or testing FOC modules
- Storage Providers (SPs) involved in storage, retrieval, or infrastructure operations
- Ecosystem contributors actively supporting documentation, feedback, or community collaboration
Why an Ecosystem Identity Like CloudPaws?
In the early stages of FOC, much of the most critical work happens across fragmented channels, GitHub repositories, testnets, node operations, community feedback, tooling scripts, and collaborative events.
These real contributions are often difficult to record long-term, hard to recognize consistently across different phases, and even harder to form into a stable collaboration network.
The goal of CloudPaws is to transform early participation itself into a verifiable on-chain identity, providing a shared identity foundation for future testing programs, collaborative initiatives, community incentives, and ecosystem experiments.
What Can CloudPaws Holders Expect?
CloudPaws does not promise financial returns or fixed incentive mechanisms.
However, as an early ecosystem identity within FOC, CloudPaws Holders will be prioritized for future ecosystem collaborations and community initiatives, including (but not limited to) the following areas:
Ecosystem Collaboration Access
CloudPaws will serve as an identity marker in ecosystem partnerships. Holders may receive priority access to:
- Joint ecosystem events
- In-product identity displays
- Exclusive badges or identity markers
- Testing whitelists and early access to new features
Examples of collaborations currently in progress include:

For offline events related to Filecoin, DePIN, and Onchain Cloud, CloudPaws Holders may have access to:
- Ticket discounts or priority registration
- Builder / SP closed-door sessions
- Demo days and partner matchmaking sessions
- Official or community-branded commemorative merchandise
Core Collaboration Network & Long-Term Connection
CloudPaws is designed as a high signal-to-noise, long-term collaboration entry point, connecting developers, SPs, ecosystem projects, and community organizers to enable more frequent, higher-quality collaboration and information exchange.
Distribution & Whitelist Mechanism
CloudPaws has a fixed supply of 100 NFTs, distributed in two phases:
Batch 1
Reserved for early participants with verifiable, real contributions within the FOC ecosystem.
Batch 2
Opened to new participants joining Onchain Cloud after Batch 1.
Following Batch 1, the community together with FOC-related teams will launch an approximately 3-week Onchain Cloud bootcamp, helping more developers and SPs complete onboarding and hands-on participation.
Participants who complete the bootcamp and meet contribution requirements may obtain CloudPaws through a whitelist mechanism.
All CloudPaws NFTs are distributed through manual review and behavior-based verification, ensuring they are issued only to genuine contributors.
Even if you are not included in the first batch, you are encouraged to apply for future whitelist opportunities through community channels.

Latest Update
CloudPaws officially opened minting on January 15, with a 7-day mint window.
Whitelist-approved participants are encouraged to complete minting as soon as possible. Ecosystem members who have not yet joined are welcome to apply for future batches through community channels.
